Mission Statement
The Pastoral Care Ministry of St. Catherine has as its mission to be instruments of the healing, transforming Presence of the living Christ in the lives of the people within the parish and beyond.  In this way, we strive to fulfill, as individuals and as a community, the Gospel and the commandments of our Lord Jesus Christ, to love one another, and to be a light to the world.

St. Catherine CARE Line

CARE Line Coordinator: Bob Fritsch: email

Weekly CARE Line: View Here

The purpose of the St. Catherine CARE Line is to provide a way for clergy, parishioners, board members, ministry leaders and friends of the parish to notify the clergy and parishioners that someone is ill, injured or recovering from an illness or injury or otherwise in need of prayers.  Calling the CARE Line will ensure that the information is published in the Sunday bulletin and the Kandili.  A get well card is mailed to each person on the list. In the future the information will be used to provide meals, transportation and visitation for home-bound individuals.  We have excellent outreach programs to support our own parishioners in need.

To report the name of someone in need, please call the church office at 303-773-3411, ext. 699 or e-mail the CARE Line here. You must have a person’s permission before reporting their name and condition to the CARE Line!

St. Catherine Prayer Partners

Prayer Partners Coordinator: Pam Scooros: email
The Prayer Partners original pupose was to help identify those people in the parish who asked for or needed prayer support and to pray for them. Initially this meant prayer for those persons from St. Catherine and the Denver Orthodox community whose names were published on the CARE Line List. It has become clear that all crises in the lives of parishioners are worthy of prayer whether or not they are published on the CARE Line List. As a result, the Prayer Partners ministry and Prayer Partners List has naturally evolved and grown to include anyone asking for prayer support (for themselves or on behalf of others) – not just those persons whose names are publicly on the CARE Line List. Thus giving a prayer request directly to the Prayer Partners does NOT require permission from the person, because it is not a public announcement to the community; it is a private, confidential and personal commitment of the Prayer Partners volunteers to pray for anyone who requests prayers whether or not they are parishioners, Orthodox, or in the Denver area. Prayer Partner prayer requests can be confidentially submitted through the Prayer Partners Prayer Request Link.
